How do I export the user list?
Required Feature Flags
The following permissions are required to use this feature:
Required Permissions:
Manage Users (
admin.org.users.manage) — to download the user list
You can export your user list as a CSV for backup, audit, or analysis. The export is generated in the background and emailed to you when it's ready.
Step 1: Open the Export Modal
Go to User Management > Add & Edit Users.
Click Download user list in the action bar at the top of the page.
The Download User List modal opens with a summary of what the file will contain.
Step 2: Request the Export
Click Export user list.
You'll see a confirmation: _"Thanks! We'll notify you when the process is complete."_ You can close the modal and carry on with other work.
Step 3: Download the File
When the export is ready, you'll get an email with a download link.
The link is signed and valid for 10 minutes from when you open it. If it expires, request a new export.
What's in the File
The CSV includes the following columns:
Forename
Surname
Username
Email Address
Status
Created Date
Roles
Team name (where applicable)
Switch ID (where applicable)
The export covers all users in your contract. You can't pick columns or filter the export from the modal — open the CSV in Excel, Google Sheets, or your tool of choice if you need to filter or trim it.
Tips
Open CSVs in Excel via File > Open rather than double-clicking. That avoids formatting quirks.
Treat the file like sensitive data — it contains names, emails, and team information. Store it somewhere secure and delete it when you're done.
If you regularly export for compliance or audit, name files with the date (for example
users-export-2026-05-06.csv) so they're easy to find later.
Troubleshooting
No email arrives — check spam, then check that your email address on your evaluagent profile is correct. Large user lists can take a minute or two.
Download link doesn't work — links expire after 10 minutes. Request a new export.
CSV looks garbled in Excel — open via File > Open > select the CSV and use the import wizard with UTF-8 encoding. Or open it in Google Sheets, which handles encoding automatically.
The export option is greyed out — your user profile doesn't have an email address set. Add one, or ask another admin to.
