How do I edit the words used to describe System Evaluation Outcome?

Overview

When evaluation outcomes are automatically derived by the system, evaluagent uses default labels to describe the result. You can customise these labels to match your organisation's language and culture.

Getting there

Go to Settings > Quality Settings > click the Evaluation Outcomes tab

Default system evaluation outcomes

The default system outcome titles are:

Outcome

When applied

Pass

The evaluation quality score is greater than or equal to the scorecard's pass rate AND no auto-fail line items were triggered

Fail

The evaluation quality score is below the scorecard's pass rate OR an auto-fail line item was triggered

N/A

An evaluation outcome cannot be derived because the scorecard does not have a pass rate and no auto-fail line items were triggered

Why customise outcome titles?

While "Pass" and "Fail" are clear and unambiguous, they can be somewhat emotive when used with colleagues. The word "Fail" in particular can invoke a defensive reaction. Customising these titles allows you to match your operational culture better.

Common alternatives:

Default

Alternatives

Pass

Compliant, Met Standards, Satisfactory

Fail

Non-Compliant, Needs Improvement, Below Standards

N/A

Undetermined, Not Scored

How to change outcome titles

  1. Navigate to Settings > Quality Settings > Evaluation Outcomes

  2. Under System Evaluation Outcomes, update the titles for Pass, Fail, and N/A

  3. Click Save changes

Important: Changes to outcome titles apply to all future and previously completed evaluations.

Manual evaluation outcomes

As an alternative to system-derived outcomes, you may prefer to configure a list of manual evaluation outcomes that evaluators choose from at the end of each evaluation. For details, see How do I configure my own Manual Evaluation Outcomes?
