How do I configure my own Manual Evaluation Outcomes?
Overview
As an alternative to system-derived outcomes, you can configure a list of manual evaluation outcomes that evaluators choose from at the end of each evaluation. When manual outcomes are assigned to a scorecard, the system no longer automatically derives an outcome -- the evaluator selects one instead.
This means scorecard pass rates and auto-fail options are not available on scorecards that use manual evaluation outcomes.
Getting there
Go to Settings > Quality Settings > click the Evaluation Outcomes tab, then scroll down to the Manual Evaluation Outcomes section.
Default outcomes
The system includes three default manual outcomes, which you can edit by clicking Edit from the Actions menu at the end of the row.
Once an outcome has been used on a scorecard, it cannot be edited or deleted, to maintain reporting integrity.
You can activate or deactivate outcomes by clicking the status pill. An Active outcome can be deactivated by clicking the pill, and vice versa.
Restrictions
You must have at least one active passing outcome
You must have at least one active failing outcome
Locked outcomes (shown with a lock icon) cannot be deactivated
Creating a custom manual outcome
Click + New outcome to open the modal.
Configure the following:
Title: The name displayed to evaluators
Description: An explanation of when to use this outcome
Colour: A visual indicator for the outcome
Equivalent System Outcome: Link to Pass or Fail. This is required so that the Quality Performance report can combine results from scorecards using manual outcomes with those using system outcomes.
Using manual outcomes on scorecards
Once you have a list of manual outcomes that match your requirements, you can add them to your scorecards. Select the Manual Selection Outcome option when you create a scorecard.
If manual outcomes are assigned to a scorecard, the evaluator will be prompted to select one of the outcomes at the end of the evaluation. If configured, they will also be prompted to select the line item (question) that most contributed to the selected outcome.
Reporting
Manual outcome results appear in the Quality Performance report. If evaluators have been prompted to select the line item that most influenced the outcome, you can click into any outcome result to see which line items (questions) influenced the selected outcome.
Re-ordering outcomes
You can control the display order for evaluators:
Click Re-order outcomes
Drag and drop outcomes to the desired position
Click Save to confirm
