How Do Notifications Work

Written by Alex Richards

How do Notifications work?

This guide is for any user who receives notifications in evaluagent. Configuring which events generate notifications is a separate admin task β€” see How do I manage Notifications?.

How Do I Access My Notifications?

Every time you have a notification, the number in the notifications box adjacent to your name increments. The number tells you how many notifications are pending and require your attention.

Click the number and select View notifications from the drop-down menu. You'll be presented with an inbox of your pending notifications.

Each notification has a button that acknowledges the notification when clicked, and typically directs you to the relevant part of the system to process the action referenced.

Once the notification has been acknowledged, it moves automatically to an Archived list, which you can access by clicking the Archived heading on the notification pop-up.

The number in the notifications box adjacent to your name decrements each time a pending notification is acknowledged.

Email Notifications

If an action has email notifications switched on in Notification Settings, users receive an email notification as well as a system notification.

Please note: Email notifications are only sent to users who have an email assigned to their user profile.

Workplace Chat Platforms

If you've set up the Microsoft Teams or Slack integration, evaluagent can send notifications to the channel you choose in the notification settings page.

Notifications That Aren't Acknowledged Within a Pre-Set Time Frame (SLA)

You can set an SLA (number of days) on each type of notification within Notification Settings. If any notifications haven't been acknowledged within their pre-set time frame, the notifications box adjacent to your name appears red.

When you access your notifications, the notification in breach of SLA has a red outline.
