How do I edit a scorecard?

Navigation prompt

Go to EVALUATE > Click Manage scorecards

By following the navigation prompt, you'll be directed to the scorecard management screen.

Editing a draft scorecard

You can edit every part of a Draft scorecard. Click View on the relevant scorecard row to open it, then click on the area you want to edit. You can:

  • (a) Delete the scorecard

  • (b) Edit scorecard details (name, description, channels, contact types, feedback settings, weighting, outcome type)

  • (c) Move sections to reorder them

  • (d) Move line items within or between sections

  • (e) Edit line items (scoring template, weighting, auto-fail settings, N/A handling, root causes, guidelines)

  • (f) Delete line items

  • (g) Edit sections (title, description, feedback settings)

  • (h) Delete sections

Editing active and inactive scorecards

Once a scorecard is published and becomes active, to ensure reporting integrity, it is not possible to edit most parts of the scorecard. By the same token, inactive scorecards that have evaluations saved against them cannot be edited.

The one exception is guidelines β€” these can be edited on active scorecards. However, be aware that all edits you make to guidelines will be reflected on previously completed evaluations as well as future evaluations. So, if your planned edits to guidelines would materially change how a line item is to be scored, we recommend you duplicate the scorecard and then quickly edit the duplicate to create a brand new version-controlled copy of the original scorecard.

Duplicating a scorecard

If you need to make significant changes to an active scorecard, use the duplicate feature:

  1. Open the scorecard you want to copy

  2. Access the dropdown menu and select Duplicate

  3. Edit the new draft copy with your changes

  4. Publish the new scorecard and optionally deactivate the original

Note: You need the Manage QA scorecards permission to edit scorecards. Contact your evaluagent administrator if you don't have access.
