How to use the create 'New' button

The create new button provides a direct shortcut to create new feedback, actions, contacts, and more without needing to navigate to the specific menu option in the sidebar.

The + New button is visible on the main header banner from wherever you are in the evaluagent platform, making it simpler and faster to create the assets you need.

What Can You Create as 'New'?

The + New button lets you create specific assets or trigger particular workflows. The options you can see are controlled by the permissions assigned to your user. The full list of possible new assets is:

  • Feedback — create new general feedback for another user

  • Contact — create a new contact to evaluate

  • 1-to-1 — create a new 1-to-1 meeting with a member of your team

  • Action — create a new action to assign to another user

  • Meeting Request — create a request for a meeting

  • Announcement — create a new announcement to be shared across your teams

  • Single Calibration Session — create a single, one-off calibration session

  • Recurring Calibration Session — create a regular recurring calibration session

  • User — create a new single user or bulk upload of users

Click the + New button and select your chosen asset from the dropdown menu.

How Are the Options Controlled?

What appears in the + New dropdown is controlled by the same roles and permissions that govern access throughout evaluagent. For example, users without the Assign actions via menu permission won't see the create action option.

The permissions are exactly the same as those that control what a user can do from the menu options in the main sidebar. Some options are also gated by feature flags — for example, calibration sessions only appear if your account has the calibration feature enabled.
