The following guide describes how to grant and revoke the required permissions to allow users to create and edit their own SmartView Custom Dashboards
Permission Summary:
The ability to create personalised SmartView dashboards is controlled by a new permission called 'Edit SmartView Custom Dashboards'
This permission can be found at: User Management > Roles and Permissions under the section called 'Access to Reports'

What are the default permission settings?
All EvaluAgent default roles except agents are granted the 'Edit SmartView Custom Dashboards' permission, enabling them to build and edit their won personalised dashboards.
Any custom roles you may have created and the agent role, will require the permission to be granted.
Assigning the permission
To assign the permission you will need the appropriate administrator rights to manage roles and permissions.
- Navigate to User Management > Roles and Permissions
- Select the role that you want to grant SmartView Custom Dashboard edit rights to.
- Check the options under the 'Access to Reports' section called: 'Edit SmartView Custom Dashboards'
- Click Update.
Revoking the permission
To revoke the permission to build and edit SmartView Custom Dashboards from a role/user, reverse the process above.
Revoking the edit permission will prevent the user from seeing or editing any personalised SmartView Custom Dashboards. They will only be presented with the default EvaluAgent dashboard.
Note: if a user who previously had the 'edit SmartView Custom Dashboards' permission has it revoked, then any dashboards and widgets they have created are hidden only. This means that should you grant them the permission again in the future they will once again see any dashboards or widgets they had previously created.
