Configuring your Suggestion Box Settings

The out-the-box Suggestion Box settings are designed so that you can roll out this feature as quickly as possible however like all EvaluAgent products, we offer a significant amount of customisation from within the Suggestion Box settings page.

Go to Settings > Click Community > Click the Suggestion Box tab

 

Within the settings page, you have three options for each of the three feedback types. 

• To deactivate the type (ie: not make it selectable when submitting a suggestion), untick the "Active category" box
• To change the Feedback Type from "New Idea" to something else such as "Good idea" then simply change the wording within the label option and hit "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the settings page
• To change the placeholder text, repeat the above within the "Prompt" area

How can I manage the list of available "Statuses"?

Within the settings page, you can configure your list of statuses. This is extremely useful if you want to add an additional step in the process or provide users with more detail as to where their idea is up to. For example: "Under Review" or "Not currently planned" may be useful additions. 

• To add a status simply type the name and click "Add Status". This will add this status to the list of available options.
• To edit an existing statuses name, click the pencil icon. Any suggestions with this status will be updated with its new name.
• To delete a status, click the dustbin icon where applicable. Don't worry - the suggestion will not be deleted but will revert back to it's earlier state.

How can I manage the list of available "tags"?

Tags are useful for organisations but you don't want to end up with hundreds. To manage tags, head to the settings page where you can delete tags you no longer need. This will not delete the suggestion, but the deleted tag will be removed from all suggestions. 

• To add a tag simply type the name and click "Add Tag". This will add this tag to the list of available options when next processing suggestions.
• To edit an existing Tag, click the pencil icon. Any Suggestion with this Tag will be updated with its new name.
• To delete a Tag, click the dustbin icon where applicable. Don't worry - the suggestion will not be deleted but the Tag will be removed.
